چکیده

Abstract This work evaluated the machinability characteristics of three different austempered ductile irons using indicators: cutting force, tool wear, and surface roughness. Additionally, this paper addresses interplay among production conditions ADIs, microstructural development, TRIP effect arising from transformations retained austenite into martensite, behavior ADIs. Various characterization studies including hardness measurement, X-ray diffraction analysis, light electron microscope were used. Machinability results indicated that increase in force is always associated with a corresponding martensite content when depth was increased 0.5 to 2.0 mm. Such correlation more evident ADI grade at high austempering temperature, 375 °C (ADI-375). It noticed although ADI-375 has only 0.46% structure before machining, ratio increases highest cut mm reach about ~ 23% force. Ferrite morphology have great impact on overall finish each as it leads deteriorating investigated alloys. could explain roughness values across all processing experiments obtained austenitized intercritical region (IADI), which mainly contains ferrite content. Tool wear chip also studied work.

Influence of Composition and Austempering Temperature on Machinability of Austempered Ductile Iron

Present investigations involve a systematic study on the machinability of austempered ductile irons (ADI) developed from four commercially viable ductile irons alloyed with different contents of 0, 0.1, 0.3 and 0.6 wt.% of Ni. The influence of Ni content, amount of retained austenite and hardness of ADI on machining behavior has been conducted systematically. Austempering heat treatment was car...

the influence of the neo-platonic concept of poetic imagination on wordsworth’s poetry

environmental effects of gol-e-gohar iron ore mine on groundwater of the area

gol-e-gohar iron ore mine of sirjan in southern part of iran is a large open pit that operates below the groundwater table and during mining operation, dewatering is required to prevent operation processes from flooding. current operation is going on by digging wells in or out of the pit and pumping to prevent flooding. as a result of the former dewatering operation a vast deep cone of depressi...
